About Us

The Kansas Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics (KAAP) is an organization of approximately 400 pediatricians in Kansas. Primary activities include advocacy on behalf of Kansas children, families, and health professionals; providing continuing medical education and other resources for pediatricians, pediatric sub-specialists, and other child health care providers; and collaborating with other state organizations and agencies on programs and projects that improve the health and well-being of children in Kansas.
Our
mission is the attainment by all infants, children, adolescents,
and young adults of their full potential for physical, mental,
emotional, and social health. Together with those who share this
purpose, the Kansas Chapter pledges its efforts and expertise
to a fundamental goal-that all children and youth have the opportunity
to grow up safe and strong, with faith in the future and in themselves.
