Wayne Moore, MD and Virginia Tucker, MD hired me in September 1989 to be the administrator for the Kansas Chapter. At that time, my average work week was 5-7 hours. Six presidents later, I am the fulltime Chapter executive director and enjoying every new challenge the Chapter has to offer. I have had the opportunity to watch the Kansas Chapter go from a minute non-profit to an active, high profile, highly respected organization. The officers have excellent leadership skills, the executive board is a knowledgeable diverse group, and the committees are active and productive.
As the Kansas Chapter continues to grow, there is one goal that remains constant; KAAP members are dedicated to the children of Kansas.

I am thrilled to be a part of the KAAP staff and involved in the Turn a Page. Touch a Mind. program. As the mother of three very active boys, some of my favorite “mom moments” are of the whole family snuggled up reading a book. When I’m not the spectator at one of the kids sporting events I enjoy playing and refereeing volleyball, snow skiing and reading. I work out my home office in Shawnee, Kansas.
